Extreme Guamanchi (7 days)
Only for trained people looking for the next challenge!

This extreme lost trail was used by the indigenous to go from the Andes to the flatland for trading wheat and corn for salt and fish.
 
1st day : 4 hour drive by 4x4 jeep to the small village of Los Nevados (2700m.). Trek in the afternoon around the village to enjoy the Andean life. Overnight and food in our posada Guamanchi of Los Nevados.
 
2nd day : 6 hours trek to “La Playa de las manos” through the tipical Andean vegetation. Overnight in tent.
 
3rd day : 5 hours trek to “Los Aranguren” (3000m.), ups and downs. Overnight in tent.
 
4th day : 6 -7 hour trek to “Mesa del Rio”. From Los Aranguren, the vegetation change and a beautiful cloud forest begin. From this point, the trail is not easy to find, only the guide will know where to go, it’s a wild trail through the virgin tropical cloud forest.  Be ready to cross river, crawl under the trees and be scratched by the vegetation!!! You have been warned!!!
 
5th day : 6 – 7 hour trek to get to the ruins of the lost village of San Juan Baustista. This lost village was build by indigenous who where hiding from the army during the Independence war. Now, the village is in ruins since 15 years, when the last person moved down to Caño Grande and Acequia. The vegetation and the views are amazing.
 
6th day : 7 hours trek to arrive at our adventure camp, at the border of Siniguis river, in Caño Grande. Dinner and overnight in our camp.
 
7th day : Options to do the activities available in the camp like: rafting, kayaking, tubing, canopy o zipline and climbing wall of 12m. Departure from the camp by jeep to Barinas (at 1 hour) o to Merida (at 5 hours driving).
